Cleveland Scene – Singer-guitarist Kelly Richey has a long career that stretches back 25 years. She’s released 16 albums over the course of that time and played lead guitar in Stealin Horses, a popular Kentucky-based rock group once signed to Arista Records.

I first met Sherri McGee in the early late ’80s, she the band called Velvet Elvis and I was in a band called Stealing Horses. Velvet Elvis got signed to Enigma Records, and Stealing Horses were signed to Arista Records. Sherri ended up in Los Angeles, and I ended up in Nashville. It wasn’t until late 2017 that Sherri and I got to play together during a benefit show with the Binders, a female band in Lexington, KY. It was magic!
I just received my new handpan– it’s a handmade TerraPan, by TerraTonz! OMG– It’s beautiful, and it sounds fantastic!
After 18 months of hiatus due to COVID, this past Saturday was my first on-stage performance, and it felt great! It was an honor to open for Robben Ford this weekend at Memorial Hall in Cincinnati’s OTR (Over the Rhine).
