The Landmarks public art program at the University of Texas at Austin invited me to participate in a multi-day musical residency to perform a series of handpan improvisations to accompany the light sequence displayed in James Turrell’s Skyspace, The Color Inside. Check out the interactive 360-degree video that allows viewers to experience the music and light sequence from every angle.

On April 8, Austin experienced a total solar eclipse. To celebrate the historic event, Landmarks, the public art program at the University of Texas at Austin, invited me to compose and perform an eclipse-inspired musical accompaniment for James Turrell’s Skyspace, The Color Inside. I want to thank the team at Landmarks and its founder, Andrée Bober, for making this event possible and for creating this beautiful video that captured the essence of this magical experience.
